Welcome to my website! My name is Sue Williams and I am a Registered Childminder, regularly inspected by Ofsted. I am married to Glen, who is registered as my assistant - he is First Aid and Child Protection trained. I have three grown up boys and I have been childminding for 19 years.
My registration allows me to care for 6 children under the age of 8 years, of which 3 children can be under 5 years and 1 child under 1.At my last Ofsted inspection I was graded the highest grade "Outstanding"! Please see here for my Ofsted Report
I live in the Durrington area of Worthing in a terraced house with a large enclosed back garden. I have a dedicated playroom which is well equipped with various toys, puzzles, games, arts & crafts for all ages and stages.
I take my responsibilities as a Registered Childminder very seriously and am always keen to improve the service I provide by keeping up to date with issues and training (please see my Qualifications page). I am a member of the NCMA (National Childminding Association) and I am an active member of Magic Minders Childminding Group. We meet regularly for play sessions, arts and crafts, themes and outings.
Your child will be cared for in a homely environment within a family atmosphere. They will receive lots of individual attention whilst also enjoying interaction with other children of different ages. I attend regular sessions at various toddler groups, childminder drop-ins, story-time at the library and go on visits to the park, beach, farms and playcentres to name but a few.
If you require, I can provide a daily diary for the under fives which details events that have gone on throughout the day such as feeds/meals, nappy changes etc. Each month I have a theme (eg seasons, festivals). During that month the children will do fun activities relating to that theme.
The way I work is covered by numerous policies and information sheets which are available for your perusal when we meet. Any particular policies you wish to have sight of can be e-mailed upon request. Once you have decided to use my services, you will receive a detailed handbook with all of these in for you to refer to.
